Millennium Force

To date, I have had the privilege of riding 128 individual roller coasters. To accomplish this, have visited a total of 24 amusement parks thus so far in my life. From the steel mega coasters such as Millennium Force to an old classic such as the Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, I love roller coasters. Therefore I thought I’d list my favorites in each category.

All Time Favorite:

Millennium Force (Steel Mega) – located at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. Manufactured by Intamin AG in 2000 for $25 million. Includes an 300 foot initial drop, reaching and maintaining sppeds of up to 93mph.

Favorite Steel (sit down):

California Screamin’ (Steel Sit-down) – located at California Adventure in Anaheim, CA. Manufactured by Intamin AG in 2001. LIM launch that propels you from 0 − 55 mph in 4 seconds. Not the biggest and baddest but lots of fun to ride. I can ride this one all day.

Favorite Steel (Inverted):

Raptor (Steel Inverted) – located at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. Manufactured by B&M in1994. Ride has a total of 5 inversions.

Favorite Steel (Floorless):

Favorite Wood (out and back):

Comet (Wood Double Out & Back) – located at Great Escape in Lake George, NY. Manufactured by Philadelphia Toboggan in 1948. Relocated from the now closed Crystal Park in 1994. Very fun woodie, can ride this one all day long.

Fastest/Highest:

Top Thrill Dragster ( Steel Rocket) – located at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. Manufactured by Intamin AG in 2003 for $25 million. 420 feet tall (2nd tallest), hydraulic launch that goes from 0 − 120 mph in just 4 seconds. What a rush!

Most Unique Ride Experience:

X (Steel 4th Dimension) – located at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA. Manufactured by Arrow in 2002. Ride vehicles themselves spin 360 degrees. Very disorientating ride but glad I did it.
